Project: I don’t want to live in the projects

When I first moved into my apartment here, it was a really quiet and nice looking community. Over the last 6 months however, it seems that a band of newer neighbors have moved in and started leaving tons of random garbage bits (fast food wrappers, napkins, discarded plastic, etc.) and an unthinkable number of cigarette butts on the stairs and in the halls.

My only hope of being able to walk down the stairs in my bare feet to walk my roomies dog was to make a few small professional looking posters and tags to remind the people that we have trash cans and ash trays for a very specific reason.

So far, I have to admit - IT’S WORKING! Some of the old trash has been picked up, and I’ve not noticed but 1 new piece of litter. I hope the trend becomes normality, and this doesn’t become a periodic design job, although it was kind of fun to give myself a new challenge and squeeze it into my schedule.
